On the one hand, these inventions aren't real, but we have invented other amazing things: the first solar plane, curved TVs and mobile phones, intelligent houses and 3D films.
On the other hand, we must make an effort to invent the things of the film. I think it's more important to concentrate on inventing other things that can improve the environment and that can make a better world.
In conclusion, the futuristic world that we imagined thirty years ago isn't real, but we have progressed in technology with other fantastic and useful inventions.
