My favourite film

My favourite film genres are romance and animation, but most of all, I like fantasy films. So, I think the film that deserves the award is 'The Chronicles of Narnia'. I love it! It's a trilogy of films that are based on a heptalogy of books by C.S. Lewis.

It happens around the Second World War, when the Pevensie brothers are moved to a country mansion to be safer. But they don't like to be there. The babysitter is an unpleasant old woman and there's nothing to do there. One day, they decide to play hide and seek. The little sister, Lucy, finds a big wardrobe in a distant room that catches her eye. She decides to hide inside of it. There, she discovers Narnia's world and meets faun Tumnus. When she comes back, she explains it to her brothers, but they don't believe her. The day they broke a window, they had to hide somewhere to not be caught. They had to hide in the wardrobe. In this way, they all discovered Narnia. Here, they became kings and queens, met the majesty Aslan - a wise lion that could speak - and they lived a lot of adventures.

My favourite part of the trilogy is the first one, 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe'. And my favourite character is Lucy Pevensie (Georgie Henley).

Let's watch the trailer of 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe'. I hope you enjoy it!

My collection

When I was young, I had a lot of imagination and I liked to express that by painting pictures. That is why I went to art classes in the school. My teacher was a distant aunt I have. She is called Menchu. She told us tales, and then we illustrated the stories. Today, I still keep these books that are very important to me, because they're part of my childhood.

Other things I keep are markbooks. I like books and I read a lot, so when I buy a book, I keep its markbook and I can reuse it. I have a lot of them. My favourite is a 3D giraffe.

The day of the book

Saint George Day is dedicated to literature and love. In Catalonia, we have the legend of 'the dragon and the rose'. It's about the story of Saint George knight saving the princess from a terrible dragon. After killing it, a rose came out from the dragon's blood. He gave the rose to the princess as a signal of love for her.

What's more, Miguel de Cervantes and William Shakespeare died on the 23rd of April, that's why we celebrate the book day too. Cervantes is famous for his work on 'La Galatea' and 'El Quijote', and Shakespeare for his work on 'Romeo and Juliet', 'Hamlet', 'Macbeth' and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'.

On this date, it's typical that men give roses to the women, and women give books to the men. In this way, literature and love are promoted to everyone.

This year, I have bought Pedro Riera's 'La tomba d'Aurora K.', that has won an 'EDEBÉ' prize.
